The webpage design is quite resource-intensive and will give a hard time to slower browsers. I just uploaded an update that turns on the 2018 calendar so you can see everyone’s contributions as the year unfolds.Īs I’m still 100% focused on getting the next chapter of Pixel Art Academy out, I didn’t have any time to optimize the layout or do any other fixes. I made it over a year ago to show all the 2016 entries, but expanded it to show the latest theme and all recent submissions.ĭiving into previous years allows you to see a calendar of all the themes, explore tweets with most likes, see individual artists’ submissions, as well as see who got the most entries picked by the main account. The calendar is part of my Pixel Dailies Archive, which catalogs all submissions retweeted by the Pixel_Dailies account. I’m a bit late to this, but my 2018 Pixel Dailies calendar is finally live and operational. For that you can check out Retrospecs (iOS only). It doesn’t have any automatic filters (a la Instagram) that would make things look great with a press of a button. Otherwise it’s on sale right now on itch.io for $10 ($28 otherwise). You can get some decent results with it if you play long enough (kind of like Photoshop, if you know what you’re doing). Add/Remove RGB values from the overall image.Īnyone wants a copy of PixaTool? The potential is definitely there.įaeland’s promise of an epic hero’s journey already captured many hearts, as evidenced by its crowdfunding goal being almost reached (and plenty of time to make it). Gameplay is more deserving of the prototype name, but it does showcase some differentiating features such as an inventory from which you can equip a combination of weapons and armor to fit your play style (although, again, for now the difference is more visually stunning than actually affecting gameplay). I’ve had a run with the prototype build (available also to game backers) and the atmosphere is as good as the trailer suggests. Words (and tumblr’s under-3MB GIFs) don’t do these justice, so you simply must watch the trailer for Faeland’s currently-running Kickstarter campaign:Īs you can see, not only the animations, but the whole game world is a delight for your eyes.
